I enjoy the pageantry of the royals with the same fantasy-envy as I watch the Dynasty reboot.

The difference is that Elizabeth Gillies stops being Fallon Carrington the minute the cameras stop rolling.

Like Fallon, Meghan works for a family firm that has expectations and responsibilities.

Also, like Fallon, she has the choice to quit, and good on her for doing so.

Otherwise, we watch with the same queasy discomfort as we watch circus bears being forced to dance.

Cirque du Soleil redefined the idea of a circus without cruelty. We need a similar reinvention here.
