Put like that, both seem curiously old-fashioned. I flinch instinctively at the 'resource based view' because it pitches people as resources. On paper, anyone is replaceable, but it's very interesting to see companies flounder once a few key personalities have left.
TPS just makes me think of the movie Office Space.
Curious that people are arguing about it, when I've only ever seen both used together, alongside PESTEL, Boston Matrices and anything else that happens to be in fashion at the time.
