Thanks for the insights. Without giving it much thought, I had assumed that the melanin content provides some protection against sun damage, which is a key contributor to ageing, but hadn't seriously believed that Black people don't age.
I'm pretty sure that most stars get work done, but there's also a multitude of non-invasive, non-surgical procedures that the wealthy have access to. Pretty sure I'd look good with daily massages, a personal trainer and chef, and my own stylist and makeup artist.
I digress: you've pointed out that the phrase de-individualises people and makes them feel devalued. That's good enough for me: I won't use it again.
