The final season of GOT was wonderful, but it didn’t suit the format.

In other words, it is best viewed as a trilogy of three movies.

Almost immediately after the series ended, I rewatched the whole thing as close to in a single sitting as I could manage. No week-long gap between episodes.

It flows a lot better that way, and is much more satisfying.

Of course, an extended cut with deleted scenes reinserted would be great, but binge watching works in the meantime.
