The great technology leaps in human development have often been led by climate change. Housing, clothing, the cultivation of fire, and eventually cities of bricks that withstand storms.

Humans are fundamentally lazy, so this will be the thing that spurs us on.

First, cities like Dubai will move underground, using mirrors and lightwells for natural light. Artificial land will be created in the flooded areas, as they are doing now.

Then, we’ll colonise space and find new planets to call home.
