When I was in my 20s, I was part of a gaming group with a 60-something man who told me that he’d “never had [his] last home, last job or last woman.”

He bounced from adventure to adventure, filled with awe and joy. I remember something about him owning a record store, and then selling that and going to live on a boat. Not sure what he’s up to now, but it might be training pygmy hippos in Peru, performing as an acrobat in rural Namibia, or promoting rock concerts in Thailand.

I made a vague note of “goals” and hoped that a little of his joie de vivre had rubbed off on me.

Point is: you’re young. It sounds like you’re having a blast already, but you could have decades of adventures if that’s what you’d enjoy.
