Yes, you need worker's rights, like we enjoy in Europe. The facts do not support the claims by some, below, who say that the US cannot afford them.

The UK has universal healthcare, at least 5 weeks' paid vacation per year, European-style paid maternity leave, a state pension scheme, limited working hours, and strict laws around firing people.

It's still the 9th biggest economy in the world, and growing, with an unemployment rate of 3.73%. Average life expectancy at birth is 82.2 years (US = 80.9) and its maternal mortality rate is half the US's at 10 deaths per 100,000 (US = 21 per 10,000).

Despite its Victorian-style working conditions, the US economy is failing the US people in their daily lives on almost every level.
